Nicolae Negură is a Romanian visual artist and illustrator based in Lisbon, Portugal, whose practice centres on figurative painting and drawing rooted in personal narrative, identity, and the human condition. Influenced by vintage comics, he uses vivid colour, soft flat brushstrokes and delicate gradients, contrasted with bold, irregular contours to create expressive scenes that communicate emotion and make space for vulnerability, anxiety, and intimate storytelling.
